introduction
Board-to-board and cable-to-board connections are inexpensive with Power Dynamics shielded and unshielded Centronic connectors. There are 14, 24, 36, and 50 contacts available. P.C.B., solder cup, and I.D.C. termination types are available. They can be utilized in a vast array of applications involving computer and data interfaces. All PDI Centronic connectors are UL-approved for safety.
Two rows of pins with 25 contacts each make up the Centronics IDC connector. Bail locks are used to secure this connector. The older SCSI-1 devices most frequently use the Centronics 50 pin connection (scanners, storage devices, etc.). In voice/data applications, a modest variation of the Centronics 50 connection is utilized. A Telco connector is the usual name for this version.
